Hello!

My name is Marianne van der Heijden and I am information specialist at the Netherlands Institute of Ecology, part of the Dutch Royal Academy of Sciences.

I describe my professional adventures in a weblog called ECOBIBL, written in the dutch language.

This is my first time visit to the CIL conference and I do hope to learn some things here and meet some nice people.

Last year I went to the Ticer Summerschool in Tilburg (The Netherlands), not such a big event but good to learn.

The last time I visited a conference in the United States is already 10 years ago (1998in LA  SALIS Conference: alcohol & drugs information).

So it is time for me to come to USA again: I am looking forward to it!

My conference experience will start with a preconference course # 12: From Avatars to Advocacy: Innovation Through Un-Marketing.

My planning is to do the following:

day 1: track: Communities and Collaboration

day 2: track: Innovation & Change

day 3: track: Planning and Managing

But that of course may change in the walk of the events.

I do hope to see and speak a lot of collegues, and perhaps some friends that I met at Salis or Eahil.
